On Monday, we will hit the road for a month long trip on which we will spend Sunday’s in five churches in NY, MD, and VA, with a stop for debriefing at the SAMS office in Ambridge, PA.

Hi Sora and Matt! Hope you and your family are well! I was wondering if you had a visit planned to Ambridge. I am a former SAMS employee and would like to become a midwife. I’m currently working for Save the Mothers (www.savethemothers.org), an organization that is working to reduce maternal mortality in the developing world. I have been reading your blog would love to meet you if you will be in town.
Also, my sister is in the Philippines right now. She is a nurse and just started volunteering at a nutrition center (I believe it’s in Milano but I’m not sure). Are you still in the Philippines? Or have you returned home already?

We’re still in the Philippines until December 7, and still busy teaching and midwifing. Sora could give you more thoughts about how to become a midwife.
We do plan to visit Ambridge. Not sure exactly when yet, but it will likely be in early January (before the 10th) or in early February. I’m waiting to hear back from Denise Cox at SAMS.
